I am currently trying to link two seperate file in Excel. The main file is a stock file on the main server with costings etc roughly 6Mb in size. The other is to be used on individual desktops to access the stock file. Using the VLOOKUP funcion, data can only be read if the stock file is opened ib Excel as same time as the quering workbook. Is it possible to have the sort of functionality I am looking for or could you advise a suitable alternative. I have thought about creating a VB solution but dont have the time to do same.
