tried to post this earlier but got UNABLE to DISPLAY WEBPAGE.
I bought a DXG-506V multiuse camera and for the price, am satisfied except for the fact that its only power source is 4 AAA batteries. I was wondering if I can remove the batteries and use a 115/6V AC/DC adapter (like one gets at Radio Shack), cut off its connector and with respect to polarity, clip the leads to the battery connectors inside the battery compartment. If this is feasible, I am not sure how I would connect. I am an eletronic embicile so want some advice first.
Batteries install thus:

+ – + –
clip to top left – and top right +?
or lower left + and lower right -?
or otherwise?
