extra cd rom drives showing up

By Seadogs ·
I am having a peculiar problem on a machine with NT workstation 4.0. I recently installed a soundblaster 16 isa card on this machine (PII-400) with no problems. After restarting, I noticed that instead of the normal networked drives from f-l, there were 7 cd rom drives showing up as installed. There is one cd rom drive actually installed, but I can't access that drive at the moment. If I go into disk administrator it shows the real drive as HPFS, and the others as FAT. I can't figure out how to delete them or gain access to the regular cd-rom drive. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

I would suggest checking the IRQ's in the bios to see if there is a conflict there. On occasion the bios does not hav ethe same IRQ as the software indicates.
