Downloaded directx 8.1 for win2k in the form of a cab file-
where do I extract the files to?

  use winzip to open the file and there you should find a setup.exe or install.exe. if you just want to extract files, just extract them to any directory -c/temp-

  maybe look at dx cab with winzip and see what readme’s are in there…
