I have a somewhat serious problem in my Facebook – All Friends list. There are some on there that were never invited by me or accepted by me. I only have 30 friends on there that should be on there. But there are 10 or so that should not be there but can’t be removed. Some guy named Amos Young Jr
California State Assembly ? Students for Barack Obama.
and at least 10 others.
If I click the X Remove Friend icon next to him, it pops a box quickly that says Loading and disappears. Nothing ever loads or happens. He remains on my list. So do many others.
I used to get a box popping up when I clicked that same X that said that I wasn’t a friend with xxxxxx. Of course, this is an issue since he is on my All Friends list! There are also some women who I don’t know who are probably out trying to meet “guys”. There are several who share last names with my actual friends, but who don’t appear to be related.
There is some big mess going on and I’ll bet that Facebook knows that there is something wrong. I have asked Facebook for help a few times with online help requests and have been put on hold.
You cannot seem to call Facebook, as they apparently don’t take any customer service phone calls.
I know that Facebook is provided to us for free, but I also understand that we “clients” are the reason that Facebook can charge advertisers to run ads.
Disabling my account and starting over is not a pretty idea, as I have uploaded 100+ pics from my former NASCAR Winston Cup driving career and have tagged many of my 30+ real Facebook friends.
But to be safe, I have removed my home address and phone # from my Facebook profile. Also, I have “blocked” these fake friends so that supposedly then they won’t be able to access my profile.
A new development has just occurred recently. Now when I click on the Friend’s name in my All Friends list, a new screen pops up saying The page you requested was not found..You may have clicked an expired link or mistyped the address.
So maybe these accounts have been shut down. But when will they disappear from my All Friends list?
Yeah, right! Like I can really trust anything Facebook right now.
