Failed to find MAC address

I have a Windows XP SP3 home computer that I am trying to connect with my work computer which is also a Windows XP SP3 using SonicWall Global Client. On my home computer I received a message indicating that I should reinstall the Global Client software. I uninstalled the program but I did not retain the MAC address during the uninstall. Now I have tried reinstalling the Global Client software several times, updating the DNE on my home computer, ran disk cleanup, tried to clear out the registry of any SonicWall references. I have asked SonicWall support for this issue and they suggest that the problem is with Windows on my computer. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can correct this problem?

You might need to determine your MAC manually,

then enter the details in the Sonicwall configuration. To find your MAC address,
follow these instructions.
Click the Start menu button on the Windows taskbar.
Click 'Run...' on this menu.
Type 'cmd' in the text box that appears. A command prompt window launches on the desktop.
In this command window, type 'ipconfig /all'. Details are shown for each of the computer's network adapters. Computers installed with VPN software or emulation software will possess one or more virtual adapters.
The 'IP Address' field states the current IP address for that network adapter.
The 'Physical Address' field states the MAC address

Write these numbers down if needed. When finished, make the
command window 'active', type 'exit' and press 'enter' to close.

I don't know much about the Sonicwall global client but did you know that you can connect to your office computer and vise-versa using Network connection's wizard to setup a home or small office network, there is an option for connecting to your office's network,have you tried that.Go to Start>Control panel >Networking and Internet connections >click on (set up a home or small office network)and then you'll see the option to connect to your office computer.Also don't you have the installation documents for the "SonicWall Global VPN Client if not here it is:
I haven't worked with an Win.XP in a while so I hope I was helpful.the pdf documents show installation instructions for your product.
