Failing WSP Client under WINNT 4.0 SBS

by billious . Updated 25 years, 4 months ago

I have been trying to enable FTP access through MS Proxy under WINNT 4.0 SBS. I discovered that the client machine I was working from did not have a properly enabled WSP Client, however, so I attempted to enable it and got this message:

“Server suddenly disconnected. May be unsupported version of client software”

I re-installed the client software, assuming that there might be an error, but it made no difference. I tried running WSPCHK32, and got an error saying:

“THE SERVER IS DOWN!!”

I know for a fact that this is not the case.
I am using only TCP/IP on the network.

Here are the contents of the MSPCLNT.INI file:

I have withheld the Internet IP of the server on the last line for security reasons.

Could someone give me some ideas about this?

Thanx.
