Fake Antivirus ("scareware") vendors shut down...finally

If this isn't good news for those of us in the desktop support business, I don't know what is.

Maybe, just maybe, we'll now be able to get our customers to start using actual anti-spyware programs.

however, I would guess it is just the tip of the iceberg so to speak.

Always good to hear about evildoers being shut down.

Of course it is at least 50 percent the fault of the computer user.

is listed on various sites as ripoff / scam.

they spew TV ads on various channels.
Oh well, they're paying for my TV shows.

Scam artists abound, as do suckers. There will soon be somebody to replace them.
