False hyperlink

My computer is showing false hyperlinks on all pages I visit - random words - Norton indicates no virus - I have some adware which I have to keep to allow me to download from some sites.

Can anyone tell me what is causing this?

You need to install Spy Ware and Male Ware Scanners and update them to the latest definitions available and then reboot the system and run it in Safe Mode to remove any infections that you have picked up.

I also run the AV programs in Safe Mode as they are far more likely to remove any infections than in the Normal Mode with Admin privileges.

Some of the best available are Spy Bot S & D and AD Aware Se available from

http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/

http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html

Just forget the MS Beta tool as it next to useless and I've had it report no infections when other programs have cleaned several hundred instances off the computer and got it running properly again.

if I were you I would seriously think about how bad you need that spyware to download crap. Find other sites to download from or the stuff really isnt needed.

With that said,
scan your system for spyware/malware with up to date software. I would suggest 4
hijack this
lavasoft ad-aware
MS antispyware (or Windows Defender)
spybot search and destroy
