fast zero out utility

By techrific ·
Howdy all, we have 40 or so drives (old deskpro's) we need to zero out... does anyone have an opinion on a free zero out util. that works at a reasonable speed? I used to use one (years ago) that did it in like 10- 20 mins....

any ideas?

thanks all =)

The best thing to to is to identify the maker of the hard drives, then go to their website and download the zero disk utility.
It should work the best and the fastest since it's designed for the specific hdd.

And yea, it's free

find DBAN (Derek's Boot And Nuke) to securely zero out your hard drives. you can go all the way from a simple erase to a complex DOD secure wipe. it is free.
