fat 32 and ntfs (xp)

if i have a slave that is formated and partioned with a fat32 will xp ntfs recognize it?

Yes, XP is backwards compatible as far as the format:

XP will see - Fat16, Fat32, NTFS

the answer given in answer 1 is correct.it will
recognize FAT 32 AND FAT 16.

XP recognizes all the partitions formatted with either NTFS 5.0 or lower and all the FAT type partions.
