I'd steer clear of that last suggestion if I were you...

As standard NT comes with a utility to convert from FAT to NTFS. Perhaps not surprisingly, the util is called convert.exe. run convert /? in a cmd window and you'll see the syntax. Be aware that that this is a one way operation! Theres no way to convert back again. good luck

You can also use PowerQuest Partition Magic (v6, maybe a lower 5,4).

A quick look in Help for that indicates you can go back to FAT if you so desired, but ... It will convert FAT to NTFS. I tried my NTFS to see what it will convert to, only FAT32, but you can go FAT32 to FAT so it may be possible to go back.

Wouldn't recommend that, I gave up FAT on NT some time back assuming Win NT would run better with it's own file system.

Still have a FAT partition for my data files and such but working at getting rid of that.

Be sure to get a backup before you start just in case something goes wrong (power fail, etc.)

From a DOS prompt type: Convert C: /FS:NTFS
Where C: is the drive you want to convert. If another drive just type in that drive letter.
