Boot into safe mode, remove or uninstall your video card. Be sure you have the cd or down load the driver and reboot. It may reinstall itself but it may ask for the driver. So point to th cd or the down loaded driver. You can also try to reload Win98 it will not delete any thing but it will replace bad or corrupt files.

No big deal. This happens quite frequently on my computer running Win 98 SE.

I just switch off the power; wait 20 seconds (to give BIOS time for a rest) and reboot. Invariably the computer will run normally for several weeks or more before I get another blue screen.

I have found that:

Press Any key to continue
Press Ctrl+ALT+Delete to restart

never makes any difference. I have to switch off the computer manually.

I encounter the same problem since I updated Windows98 with KB908519, **7734, **7344, **8547, **6281 and **8439.
I have the impression that it conflicts with my virus scanner McAfee engine 4.4.00
The solution proposed by Microsoft refers only to Symantec virusscanner.
