Fault buckets

By philldmc ·
I have a XP Pro machine that keeps hanging on different applications. According to each hang there is a "fault Bucket" followed by a different number. This happens on various programs, Outlook, Work, IE, etc.

The problem is very random. Any suggestions? Below is a sample of an error

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Application Error
Event Category: None
Event I 1001
Date: 1/13/2004
Time: 10:24:09 AM
User: N/A
Computer: SETH
Fault bucket 80851476.

Try updating your NIC card drivers or, better yet, replace your NIC card. I have seen that 1001 ID happen on networks and it was usually the NIC.
