Brother All-in-one

by Lost_one In reply to Faxing from Desktop

We use a Brother all-in-one (Printer, Fax, Copier, Scanner, and PC FAX) and it works great. I put a network card in so anyone in the network can fax through it. It was easy to setup and simple to use. As far as I know no other all-in-one has the PC fax option.

I am sure there are better ways of doing this, but for our small company (55+ computers) it works great.

good old winfax ?

by highlander718 In reply to Faxing from Desktop

You don't need an actual fax machine to fax from desktop. How about Winfax or other applications that emulate fax ? True you still need a (shared) phone line but you're only talking about 4 users, right ? If it's more than that, yes, maybe you need a fax to manage redials, put jobs in queue.
Actually, I'm thinking, maybe there is a software out there that does this.

RightFax but that's over kill for 4 users..

by TomSal In reply to Faxing from Desktop

We use RightFax here, but our company is heavy on faxing and we have invested over $20k in our Rightfax system (actually probably closer to 30k now).

For your needs, I'd stick WinFax.
