File Automatically get deleted

I have Netwate 3.12 Server Installed on 20 GB HDD, PIII 700nMHz With 128 MB RAM.
i have workstation with win 95 attached to the server. The problem is whenever i open some existing file and make changes to it. They get deleted from the server. Sometimes they exist on the server but the files are blank with no data inside.
What mght be the problem ?

Look at permissions issues.

I do not remember Netware 3.12 well enough to guide you further. Hopefully someone else can add to this.

Don't know where you got that version, but before you do ANYTHING, patch the thing, because it is not supported as it is. For starters, it's not Y2K compliant at all. And while patching you may get a recent client as well - I presume you're eitherusing W95's built-in client, or the one that came with NW312? Get a recent one, they'll function with "old" serves as well, just don't install them "default", since you need a bindery connection, not an NDS connection. Let me know what happens once you are on a recent patch level.

Go to server, open console screen. Type set, hit Enter. Choose category 5, check option Immediate purging of deleted file, it should OFF. Otherwise, you can't restore any deleted file. Let me know for further help.
