Did she copy a file such as Autorun.inf in it which can affect how folders operate?
Also what was the name of the folder? Does it contain non-alphanumberic characters?

Try opening a command prompt and cd to the folder and list whats in it. You can DEL unwanted file etc.

The folders name was "Programs" and at a comnd prompt under the drives directory the file- a file- no attributs-not folder is listed, try to bring up the files in the folder using the directory comnd and you get the- sys cannot find file. Folder contained exe's,zips and txt files. The problem is the file must be returned to a folder to save the contents. No auto runs, inf's etc in the folder.

Downloaded Program files is usually a system folder located in the root of the windows directory. It is used t ostore active X cache or and or files. First, did you try copying it back to the original location? Guess its too late to mention but instead of moving she should of copied first just in case something happened durring the process.

In command prompt you may need to use the /a switch to view hidden and systenm files.

dir filename /a

Since the folder has no association you may try right clicking the folder and use "open with" then select explorer.exe. This may work. Good luck.
