File Repl. Service & Time Synch. errors

By joycetm ·
I have 2 W2K Domain Controllers (A & B)and am experiencing File Replication Service errors. When I create a new user ID called 'dummy' in A, this was not reflected in the B. I was not able to login as 'dummy' from a Win98 client PC.

I am gettingthe following Event ID 13508 and 64 in the Event Log.

Any advise is much appreciated.

Thank you,
Joyce

File Repl. Service & Time Synch. errors

by Curacao_Dejavu In reply to File Repl. Service & Time ...

Hi,

See the MS KB Article I Q285923.

To resolve this issue, synchronize the computers with the domain controller clock time. Follow these steps:

Run the following command on all computers to synchronize the clock time with the domain controller:

net time \\(domain controller name) /set /y

Stop and then restart the File Replication Service on all servers that are experiencing the problem.
Open Event Viewer to make sure that the errors are no longer occurring.
