FILE SHARING BETWEEN APPLE & WIN98

Hi

My name is Melt From South Africa.

I have a small windows network and one I-Mac computer connected to it as well.
At the moment the Apple is only printing to the network printer. It is a small WIN98 workgroup network. All the window computers see each other on the network just fine But the Apple is missing.
I want to share the Windows computes files and the Apples files on the Network but do not know how to do it.
Is there any one that can help ore provide a site that will help?
Mynetwork does use TCP/IP with each computer with its own address.

I would highly recommend www.macwindows.com for lots of advice on cross platform issues. I've subscribed to their list for some time and find many answers. I support a school network with about 400 computers about evenly divided between Macs and PC's. Our sharing is done through Mac Volumes on an NT server. There are other software options either for the PC's (Tsstalk is one) or Dave on the Mac.

Try third party software called DAVE. http://www.thursby.com/products/ It allows the Mac to look and act like a networked PC on the network.

The protocol that the PCs and Macs would need is Netbeui to talk together (share files) - but the mac probably only has TCP/IP installed.

You'll probably need to get something like PC Mac Lan or Virtual PC, something that will allow you to accessthe PC network.
