File Transfer Program

By gforce44 ·
I'm running windows xp, sp2; yusing roadrunner by timewarner. When I download from sites, such as '', it seems to take forever and then after a certain amount of time Internet Explorer tells me the server needed to be reset. Is there anything I can check?

is is just downloading that is slow or browsing in general? have you eliminated spyware as a potential reason for this problem? you are using dial up modem, yes? did this used to work? have you changed modems, has there been any work done on phone lines, did you change your isp or dial up number...or modem. did you go to the bandwidth meter at for a check of your internet speed so you can have an easy baseline for testing

Check your network connection settings and make sure "disconnect from internet after {blah} minutes is set to off or change the setting.
