Temp files are generated by all programs. It would be really hard to keep track of what program created what. This would also cause overhead. Usually I only check for the date the files were created and everything older than today I delete. Is therea particular reason you need to find out which program created what files?
I hope this helps some

Temp files are created with any ms program and are used for back up in case the program you are using stops responding, gets a stop screen ie blue sreen of death or some other reason your computer desides the program has done some thing wrong. Thesefiles just take up space, I tell my users to delete these as well as .chk and .gid files. Chk files are from a computer being shut down wrong and gid file are info files from when a user uses the help menu. Email me and I will send you a compleat flow chart and guide on this.
