Film Censorship woes

by nexs . Updated 15 years, 10 months ago

So I sat down with MIB in the DVD player. I switched on the TV and watched through, laughing happily as Will Smith pulls the squealing table across the floor and offers it to the Military folks, puts a bullet through the cardboard girl’s forehead and then we get up to Jeeb’s ‘Jewellery’ Store scene.
Tommy Lee Jones pulls out his gun and blows Jeeb’s head off, and you know what I expect to hear?

“You insensitive pricks! Do you have any idea how much that stings!?”

Right?

Wrong!

What has the world come to when they censor ‘remastered’ films. For heaven’s sake, the film is rated for mature audiences anyway! What’s to lose!?

I am losing faith.
