Finally been made redundant

Those of you who have been on here for some time will be aware that my employer was trying to make me redundant about two years ago, but changed their mind.

Well….redundancy is now imminent – 3 days and counting…

I am looking to set myself up as a consultant providing support to business local to me.

What do you think the best way of drumming up business would be? I currently have about 5-6 satisfied clients and my ex-employer to be has just signed up a support contract. My current chain of thought is word of mouth from my current clients and joining up with the local chamber(s) of commerce.

Any other suggestions guys (and gals)?
