find the client domain in a remote desktop session

By ajw007 ·

I have a program that allows assignment of printers based on the office I am in. I moved this program to a windows 7 host machine and allow access to it by remote desktop (connection). I use my laptop in different offices and would like automatic detection of what office I am in when connected as a client so as to preset printing to the local office printers. Any idea how to achieve this? (As far as I have found, all the "domains" returned by the windows api are for the host machine, not the client...Yet, if the host machine is sending information back to the client, it must know where the client is...right? ) Could I somehow use the session ID to do a tracert back to my laptop client? Or maybe add additional information to the client rdp script and send it at loggon? Any idea is welcome!

Thank you. (You are my last hope.)
