Finding Global Catalog Server in a Forest in Windows 2000

IN WINDOWS 2000 SERVER FOREST,hOW WE HAVE TO FIND THE GLOBAL CATALOG SERVER,FSMO ROLES SERVERS EASILY?

use replmon from support tools. There you can query the server flags. Else you can use ntdsutil from the command line. For more help type ntdsutil /?

Go to Active directory Sites and Services. Go to server NTDS Setting. Right Click on the NTDS Setting and Go to Properties You find if the GC is Tick or not to check the GC server.
2)Regarding the FSMo Role go to User and computers
right click on the Domain go to Properties to check the FSMO

you can easily find the FSMO role holders
we have to install the support tools first

then execute the command
netdom query fsmo
