I started a small company about 4 years ago and I have been working in the SMB market for years now. I had 6 people working for me at one time and had my sales guys out there finding jobs.
Now things have changed. I got tired of managing employees and I have slowed down. Now I work for myself. My problem, I don’t have nearly enough time to go out and find work & I’m not going to spend a fortune advertising.
My thought is that there has to be some web sites out there that help independent workers find small jobs. My experience is that Recruiters are trying to get big jobs and aren’t interested in the short term contract or working with small businesses so they don’t work for you. I’ve got to imagine there is some site out there that is matching up computer people who have the time and desire to do small jobs. Anybody got any web addresses or other suggestions that can help an independent computer guy find work.
My thoughts on the type of work is MS & Novell server setup/install, maintenance and config. Even system design for the SMB market. I’m Novell & MS certified and been designing for over 3 years.
