Finding the right printer

By jborden ·
Does anyone here know where to find a track fed printer that will print on labels that are 5x3? All the label printers ive seen are to small, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

If you are fererring to Tractor feed printers.
They are still available.

The Epson LQ570e looks like it might do the job for you.

The minimum tractor feed width is 4".

If you do not need 24 PIN quality, they also offer 9 pin printers.

As far as I know, there are not any tractor feed ink jet style printers, and I cannot see how there could be an affordable tractor feed laser printer.

Just make sure that the sofware you use for printing the labels can work with the Epson printer.
(I started with Epson, as most software packages do support using Epson printers.)

The Okidata 420 is new and very fast. It's built to last and will handle just about in size label up to a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet. It has optional (additional) tracks that can be added.
