Bear with me here, I’m a TechRepublic nub 🙂
Anyway, I’m going to be finishing up a BS IT Degree next May, but I’m not exactly sure what jobs I should be looking for.
I’m getting my degree through LTU’s (ltu.edu) College of Management, so my ‘IT’ classes are fairly business related. However, I’m going to be working on getting my A+/Linux+/Network+ Certifications as I get college credit for getting them.
I’ve been using and abusing computers since I was 12 – now 21 – but I have no ‘formal’ work experience in the IT field.
With that, I’m going to have to start looking for jobs and I am wondering what type of job I should look for. Technician jobs, administration jobs, management jobs? Like I said I have little formal experience, but am quite knowledgeable when it comes to computers.
I’m curious to what others have to say, and am especially interested in hearing from those who were in the same situation as me at one point.
