Firefox won’t connect

Internet Explorer works fine, Firefox cannot find the home page (or any other page for that matter). What might be blocking Firefox??? Windows XP is the OS. Thanks.

Check that your firewall has not blocked Firefox.

If not, in Firefox, click on Tools, Options.

On the General Tab, click on the Connections Button.

Unless you have a proxy configuration, you should have Direct Connection to the Internet checked.

Good information to know, however, I’ve gotten it working some other way, but I’m not sure how. Speculation suggests it had to do with 2 anti-virus programs that were running – or attempting to run – simultaneously.
