Firewall-1 and Windows 2000 Server

By jgraham ·
I am using firewall-1 on an NT 4.0 Server.
I have setup a NAT rule to go to the new IIS server running Windows 2000 Server. When I ping the IP address or go into my browser and enter the IP it does not respond.
Can anyone help with suggestions? Is it the Firewall-1 (I already have several rules setup the exact same way)?
Or is there something Iam missing on the 2000 Server in the IP config or Routing?

These kind of things are quite tricky to diagnose without knowing the topology. Have you setup Long Logging on the rule? If not, do so as the logs should be able to give an indication of why and where the packets are being dropped. I've only recently started using FW-1 but have found these sites invaluable with problems I've come across: (careful when typing this one in, 1 wrong move and your in a gay porn site!)
