Fix 2Gig pst files

by zerofill . Updated 25 years, 4 months ago

Two of my outlook users decided this week that they would copy every bit of their mail
into personal folders. They exceeded the 2G limit and can’t open their .pst
files. I’ve seen the article at slapstick.com that explains that you have to usea hex editor to remove some ‘size’ from the file. I’m STILL trying to find a hex
editor that will open/edit a 2G file without crapping out on me, but I haven’t
found one yet.

If anyone has a solution other than this, let me know. Also, slapstick.com
talked about MS having a utility that would attempt to truncate the .pst file.
Does anyone know where I can get it?

Thanks,

Kelly
