Plugins help Firefox manage internet content such as Flash, silver light, etc which gets installed even if you don’t need it. Because they can slow down the browser, disabling them can be beneficial. Click the Firefox button and select Add-ons. Click the plugins on the left side of the tab and then disable them.

To speed up the browser, you need to disable extensions without uninstalling them. This will help you use them easily again. To disable an extension, click the extensions tab on the left side of the Add-ons manager. Find the extensions you want to disable and make Mozilla Firefox faster.

    Clear browsing data

Firefox can keep a track of websites you have visited, files you’ve downloaded, etc. all the data get collected in the history database and thus it can expand. To clear the browsing data for all of your browsing activity, simply clear recent history according to the time duration. It cannot be undone, so be sure before clearing any data. If you do not want to clear data from all the websites, then you can selectively choose the clear browsing data for specific websites. To clear the browsing data automatically every time you close Firefox, click the Firefox button and select options. Click the privacy button and then select custom setting from history.
