Flash Card vs Memory Stick

By ozi Eagle ·
Hi All,

I've got a query regarding the technology in USB memory sticks.
A recent TR article described tests on flash cards which found them extremely robust mechanically.

My question is whether USB memory sticks use the same technology as flash cards.
I am considering using flash cards as backup media
but if memory sticks use the same technology they would be a simpler implementation.

An comments welcome.
TIA

Herb

Yes thay all use some type of "flash memory"
Only the interface is defrent. If you are backing up a small amount of data and you can keep it in a fire safe.
Shop around you can get a 4GB USB drive for what some sell a 512.
