no reply, no support, just a push sales site

by Oki01 In reply to flash video clips

More than a week is past, I receive lots of emails containing sales adverts, this site have not a support page the only snippets of info I am interested are on flash format which I can not download so what's the point of bombard me with electronic leaflets to buy stuff I am not interested in and blocking the ones I am really interested? not very helpful in my view, I see this as purely spam.

Nothing Flash but it works for me

If you are useing IE7-IE8 let the Video run through and then you can capture it from the Temporary Internet folder.

Open Tools, Internet Options. Browsing history, select Settings, View files. Click Size until the largest file is on the top. Right click on the file and select copy and then navigate to where you want to save it.

If you look up to the right of the page you will see My Newsletters. Select it and down the bottom of the page you will see this.

Your e-mail delivery format

PLEASE NOTE: Changing your delivery format here also changes it across all CBS Interactive brands -- including, ZDNet, mySimon, GameSpot, TechRepublic, BNET and SmartPlanet.

Unsubscribe from all TechRepublic newsletters

Unit of urine if you employ Firefox ...

by OldER Mycroft In reply to flash video clips

Couple of Add-Ons for FF will see you alright:

DownloadHelper 4.6.2
DownThemAll 1.1.6

As soon as this combo encounters a flash (or any other type of) video, it lights up.

Click it and select which vid you want if there's more than one of 'em.

Unit of urine = Piece of p|$$

Or you can visit here and chose what you want to download

Not sure what you are receiving but if you chose not to receive any Newsletters you shouldn't be getting anything from TR. Of course if you opted to receive Newsletters you will get them and you can visit your Profile and change what you get. Though it may take a couple of days to stop receiving them depending on which day of the week you do this.
