Flashing screen while using wireless

By kate.oshaughnessy ·
I have a Toshiba Qosmio laptop and basically when I turn on the wireless switch on the side of my computer the screen flashs every 5 seconds. It quite annoying because if i am typing something it stops me typing and i have to put the cursor back to where it was.
I have a horrible feeling its something nasty there so I've ran virus scans also Ewido, Ad Aware and windows defender, but nothing has stopped it. Would anybody be able to shed some light on why this would happen.
Thanks for you Time

Driver Updates

There could be a number of factors involved with this issue.

I would start with checking your graphics settings, making sure they are set for best performance of your video card.

If that doesnt help, then update the drivers for both your monitor and the wireless device. Also flashing the BIOS with the latest update would be a good idea.

I looked around Toshiba's site and found some issues with the LCD flashing, but seemed to be with only running videos and their answers pointed toward flashing the BIOS.

Other LCD issues were due to the graphics chip having issues, so Toshiba had a "System Board Enhancement" program for the G15 and F15 systems. The only catch is you must contact Toshiba directly and ask for the repair at 1-800-457-7777.
