    Floating Point Errors

    What is a floating point error???
    I get one when i boot my sys with the start up disk (os= win 98se) and start with cd -rom support.

      Youre CPU is going down hill. Floating point errors are process caused errors in the CPU.
      Either bad math on the programer, program or bad chip.
      try youre start up disk and cdrom on a known good computer . If it works see if you have a replacement CPU

      Chuck your CYRIX processor in the bin and buy a AMD or Pentium?

      Perhaps We are misinterpreting what your telling us? Are you getting a divide overflow error on processing the regestry ?
      Perhaps you just replaced your cmos battery and did not update the clock back to 2001 instead of 197? perhaps your cmos battery is dead. Please give us more information about the troubles you are experiencing
