I have a Compaq Presario 1200XL-118 desktop replacement notebook, running WinME. No matter what I do, it tries to access my floppy drive. It doesn’t ask for a disk, just tries to read the drive, then goes on. Each time I do something, i.e. open Internet Explorer, open a Microsoft Office 2000 program, it tries to access my A: drive. This problem has occured in the past, and has gone away with time, but it is occuring again. Is there a way to fix this? I have tried checking the default directories for Office 2000, making sure they are not set to default to A: , same for IE5,yet the problem persists.
