Floppy Drive not working

I recently upgraded my computer from Win98 to win2kpro and now my cdrw drive doesn't recognize cd's are in it and my floppy drive doesn't recognize when a disk is in it ? Is this a driver problem or a configuration problem ?

This is a driver issue.

You need to install the IDE driver for the chip-set on your motherboard.

For help identifying who made your motherboard, check out the tools at www.motherboards.org
or www.wimsbios.com

A 'trick' that sometimes worksin W2K, is to delete ALL IDE busses listed in device manager.
Primary,
Secondary,
And root

Upon reboot, W2K often sets up the drivers correctly.
