Floppy Drive problems

By pmoreno65 ·
When clicking on a icon with a path, the pc first accessed the floppy and makes a noise. I have heard if you rename the floppy drive, that should solve the problem. I cannot remember how to rename the floppy drive.

Check the autoexec.bat file to make sure the PATH statement doesn't include the a some where in it....

Example

Path=c:\;c:\windows\command;a:\;c:\windows;

remove the a in the above since when it is searching for files it will try to access the a: drive.
