focusing to a career path

im an an electronics and communication engineer.. im working now in a telecom company, i just want to ask if i choose to become a network administrator , what shuold be the starting point of this career? what should i need to learn or to study? i was a bit confuse...i dont know what topic should i study first, i had some idea but i think it whould'nt be enought so thats why im trying to as some sugestions.. thank you for the help you would give...

Based upon the trends I see at this time (if I were starting over) I'd start with an MCSA if I were primarily working in a LAN environment and a CCNA if I were working in a WAN environment. Both will help you develop marketable skills and afford employment opportunities. What you are already familiar with and what you enjoy working on should also be taken into consideration, of course...

They have study guides and info on many of the common tests and will give you a feel for what you'll need to know.
