By kn_abhilash ·
i have a windows NT 4 workstaion, there are 2 users for that pc, Say Users are A & B

there are 2 folders named A-data & B-data
i want each user access there own data folder not the other one
Eg: user "A" should not be able to acceess "B-data" folder

i dont want to create different user profiles as each time logging off and on is not possible

is there any way i can set this security

I don't think that's possible. You will have to somehow give Windows a way to differentiate between the two users.
The only way I can think of right now is hiding the folders in strange places (it sounds stupid, I know, but if the users are not too advanced, it can work)

As long as the drive of the NT machine is a NTFS drive you should be able to control the security of each user by creating their individual accts on the workstation. Then use the security tab as administrator to set the folder permissions accordingly.
