I have set the permissions on my Windows Server 2003 R2 for a user to have FULL CONTROL of the folder. When I go to the users computer (running Windows XP) all the permissions are greyed out. How do I get these permissions to filter down to the users computer?

Once again you're giving advice that really isn't pertinent to the question if you read it carefully. He has a shared folder on a Windows 2003 server that users on XP workstations can't get proper permissions for. Your KB article deals with enabling file sharing in Windows XP.
It's great that you're here and willing to help people out, but it seems you have a tendency to jump to solutions without knowing enough about the actual problem.
Alot of people as questions here that impact production systems and as IT professionals we need to make sure the advice we give is the best advice possible. Asking questions to make sure we fully understand the situations before giving solutions.
Related to the XP machines, the link i placed is so that maybe the person can trace where the problem exists. It is a guide/info that is all. We do not know the full reason why we just try and help the best we can, unless we are there and see it for ourselves. Have you read the link?
