    folder recovery

    a user deleted a folder from the server
    and now would like it back.
    the last backup was friday morning and
    she had made some file additions during the
    day monday before deleting the folder.
    is there any way to get this folder back

      If you log on to the server you can look in the Network Trash.
      If the last backup was before the changes, thats all you’ll get back.

      Sorry to say the latest backup is the best you can do. I would suggest if this happens often to look into a third party File recovery software.

      I would suggest Undelete for WIndows NT

      I agree with the other person right above me. The folder is gone, back-up is it, and tell the user to never, never, do that again.

      The last backup is the best you can do. Just tell the end user to be more careful with the delete button. Also if you are using NT change the security so that end-users cannot delete as freely as they would like to. Best of luck!
