Folder Redirection

By Pooki_24 ·
I just started using Folder Redirection in Active Directory. Is there any way to set the synchronization so that it will only synchronize those documents that have been modified?

Folder redirection is a little different than synchronization. This is more like smoke and mirrors to make one folder actually be somewhere else.

But if you use the XP synchronization for, lets say, my documents after the first synch it will only do files that have been modified. Just make sure that your backup doesn't alter the file modification bit.

You could also do an xcopy (scheduled if it's easier) with the /m set to only do modified files.
