I am having problems with the views within the folders for XP and Office Applications. First I need to have each folder view by Details (no problem there) then I need to have each Office application open to my root folders (directory) in my case it is G:\ sorted my Name with the folders being displayed first. Then when I click on a sub-folder, the view should be by Date with the most recent files being displayed on top. Again I can obtain those views by clicking on the Details menu. My problem is to have each view stay that way once I close the application then re-open or open another application. It appears that the last view (by date, ascending order) is what I see when either re-opening the application or opening another Office application.
In W2000 I was able to ?stick? the view for each folder but can?t seem to do this in XP. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
