Is there a way to for a new policy to take immediate efffect?

I was trying to enable the auditing policy for objects but could not get the effective policy to take effect.

Is there a way to force a new policy to take immediate effect so that the Effective policy will be immediately implemented?

In reply to force policy replication

      From the command prompt:

      Syntax

      secedit /refreshpolicy {machine_policy | user_policy}[/enforce]

      Parameters

machine_policy – Refreshes security settings for the local computer.

user_policy – Refreshes security settings for the local user account currently logged on to the computer.

/enforce – Refreshes security settings, even if there have been no changes to the Group Policy object settings.

By default, if neither the “user_policy” or “machine_policy” parameters are specified, both will be refreshed.
