Forcing user password change by default.

By scott.a.eaton ·
I am looking for a way to make the "user must change password at next logon" checkbox be selected and locked whenever a password for a user is reset. I cannot figure out how to even make this default let alone figure out how to lock it down. If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it!

When you, the Administrator, changes the password?

If there was a mechanism in place that forced a user to change their password after they have just changed their password, they're going to be confused.

If you're changing it, just check the "user must change" checkbox when you change the password.

What is the end result that you're looking for?

Soem more detail on what we are experiencing. We have a call center that responds to user ID lockouts. They will in turn supply a generic password that we would like changed by the user upon first login. We would like to the the check box for this selected by default and greyed out to prevent the call center from removing it. Hopefully this helps. Thanks!
