Format Master Boot Record on Harddrive

By mwitt ·
I tried to get rid of a spy program on the MBR.

Is there any utility available to identify data on the MBR or to have a confirmation that all files formated on it?

Is there a difference between the DOS command fdisk /mbr and the unix dd command to delete data.

to see the MBR go to your DOS box and type
"edit mbr" as to checking to see if all have been formatted...not that I know of.
