I have added a SATA drive to an old recycled machine without any other hard disk. I would like to run knoppix from the CD and am now using 5.1.1
I am new to the unix/knoppix world.
I see that the SATA drive is displayed on the desktop as /media/cda but the drive has not been formatted or partitioned and I would like to do this so I can use the drive.
What commands are needed to do this? Can Knoppix 5.1.1 manage this? Do I need to get/use any other software?
