formating my hard drive

Use a clean Windows 98 startup disk

Insert disk in floppy drive

Boot computer,at the command prompt type FDISK

Select the option to delete Primary DOS partition,if drive has seperate partitions you will need to delete the extended partitions first

Follow the onscreen instructions to deleting the partition, then press ESC you will then select to

Create a primary dos partition
When prompted to Enable Large disk support choose the option that applies which automatically installs Fat 32

After partitioning,reboot computer

Back to command prompt type Format C:(which is the drive letter of drive you are want to format)
reboot, run setup of windows 98,then upgrade disk to ME when this install is complete

You will need to backup all files that you want to keep, before performing fdisk
